Spanish term

Cofres foro

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Uruguayan power of attorney
This is a Uruguayan power of attorney that basically throws in any paper or activity or transaction that the representative might perform.
Under the section that I would refer to as banking, it says

" Depositar y retirar dinero y toda clase de bienes y documentos utilizando o abriendo cuentas corrientes, depósitos a plazo fijo, cajas de ahorro, ***cofres foro,*** girar, solicitar aval bancario, solicitar chequeras de todo tipo, firmar cheques o cualquier otra operación bancaria"

I found one source that said "savings bank," but the term right before "cofres foro" is "cajas de ahorro," so I'm assuming it's not just another way of saying "savings bank."

I suspect the ST has a typo: cofre foro --> cofre fort.

cofre fort and caja de seguridad are used interchangeably in UY, to refer to a 'safety deposit box' as may be found in a bank, hotel, etc.

Note from asker:
I think you're right; the logical explanation would be that it's a typo. Not the only one in this doc. Thank you!
Peer comment(s):

agree AllegroTrans : I also think there is a typo, but "safe deposit box" is the usual term I think

You might be right about what's 'usual', but: "A safe deposit box, also known as a safety deposit box" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safe_deposit_box

group funds

Is there any mention of a group in the text anywhere? It may just be the treasury of some sort of group or society. Sometimes, Ockham's Razor prevails :)
