Sorry to throw a damp squib on this but since, presumably, you are being paid for this translation, it's your job to come up with the ideas rather than picking other translators' brains for free suggestions. Might I also venture that you really need to be a native speaker of the target language for this type of job.

I think there's definitely technology involved in the way a pram moves and steers, how well it protects the child and how easy it is to fold away.

@Steffen, that's the thing. I'm also sceptical about using "technology" in a pram description. The problem is that the customer wants to include the term "Technik" to point out that this pram is includes a certain level of technical equipment...
