Greek term

λεμφοαφανιστικός

Greek to English Medical Medical (general) T-cell therapy
Όλοι οι ασθενείς έλαβαν λεμφοαφανιστικό σχήμα προετοιμασίας με Cyclophosphamide/Fludarabine.

It's a conditioning regimen, but what is the "λεμφοαφανιστικό" part. I kind of understand it, but I can't find the equivalent English term.

I suspect I could leave it out without causing any real damage, but I prefer not to do that.

Can anybody help?

lymphodepleting

Turtle and colleagues showed that the addition of fludarabine to cyclophosphamide (Cy/Flu) in the lymphodepleting regimen was associated with improved anti-CD19 CAR T-cell expansion and persistence and better clinical outcome compared with non-Flu lymphodepleting regimens in patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.10 (https://ashpublications.org/blood/article/133/17/1799/275911...

The patients received a highly lymphodepleting conditioning regimen consisting of cyclophosphamide (60 mg/kg for 2 days) and fludarabine (25 mg/m2 for 5 days) before adoptive transfer of TILs. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1773008/)

Addition of Fludarabine to Cyclophosphamide Lymphodepletion Improves In Vivo Expansion of CD19 Chimeric Antigen Receptor-Modified T Cells and Clinical Outcome in Adults with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Administer a lymphodepleting regimen of cyclophosphamide and fludarabine before infusion of YESCARTA.

lymphoablative

"Preclinical studies identified CD45 (30) and CD117 (31, 32) as targets suitable for antibody mediated depletion of host hematopoietic cells. CD45, also known as the leukocyte common antigen (LCA), is expressed on all hematolymphoid cells. Because CD45 is expressed on the spectrum of primitive to mature blood cells, targeting this molecule is desirable if a single agent can safely achieve both myelo- and lymphoablation. "

lymphoablative

Συμφωνώ και με τον Χαράλαμπο.

Using β-chain sequencing, we studied CD4 T cell diversity in 2 adult patients undergoing lymphoablative conditioning with cyclophosphamide (Cy), total body irradiation (TBI), and antithymocyte globulin (ATG) and autologous transplantation of hematopoietic cells depleted of T cells by enrichment for CD34 cells
