Feutré letteralmente è "ricoperto di feltro" o "fatto di feltro". Dà l'idea di qualcosa che attutisce i suoni, che protegge. Una collocazione tipica è "enfance feutrée" che si può tradurre con "infanzia ovattata"... o anche ambiance/atmosphere feutrée...
Servirebbe più contesto per trovare l'aggettivo più calzante, perché se fossi in te non tradurrei "art de vivre" letteralmente
