Two separate terms This question should have been posted as two separate terms. The second term is 'berm' or 'berming'. 'Embankment' would also work.
See the following definition from Oxford Languages:
berm
/bərm/
noun
a flat strip of land, raised bank, or terrace bordering a river or canal.
a path or grass strip beside a road.
an artificial ridge or embankment, e.g., as a defense against tanks.
"berms of shoveled earth"

neutral Muriel Vasconcellos : It's two separate terms. Your first term is correct, but it doesn't include the second term, which is 'berm' or 'berming'. Yes, 2 kinds of terracing plus berms or berming. If you add it to your answer, I'll agree with it.
