Italian term

rimosso con

Italian to English Medical Medical (general)
I'm struggling to understand the meaning of "rimosso con" used in the below context. These are details of an angioplasty:

"Accessi arteriosi percutanei:

Femorale destro - French introduttore: 6
Condizione finale: rimosso con Angioseal
Radiale destro - French: 6
Condizione finale: rimosso con TR-Band"

Does it simply mean that the access sites were closed using AngioSeal/TR Band devices?

Thanks everyone for your thoughts on this (and yes Joseph, I'm finally getting round to changing it!). I decided not to over translate/translate what wasn't there and translated it as they were talking about the introducer, which I think they were, despite it being written in the "condizione finale" which as Judy said, doesn't make much sense
JudyC Sep 9, 2021:
I agree that it's badly written as they're giving an action instead of a state to describe a "condizione finale"

Another perspective Ciao Emily! (I notice the new last name).

I think that they're trying to say two things in one hurried sentence ... badly written as Fiona said.

They're talking about what they ended up doing with the two introducers in the femoral and radial arteries. Possibly they're trying to say that they removed them ... and then did the hemostasis using the Angioseal and the TR Band. So they really meant "rimosso [emostasi] con Angioseal

So I would agree with your suggestion above.
Emily Gilby (asker) Sep 9, 2021:
It's definitely a possibility Judy, I am leaning more that way, otherwise surely it would just say "TR Band rimosso" if it meant that the device was removed?
JudyC Sep 9, 2021:
I think "rimosso" refers to the introducer so " removed with....."
Emily Gilby (asker) Sep 9, 2021:
Thanks Liz, it’s more the “rimosso” bit that’s confusing me - what is being removed with the AngioSeal? I’m thinking that it means “closed” in this context but need confirmation

TR band removed

It's badly written. This is the wording I normally see on angioplasty reports.

Thank you Fiona, your deduction is consistent with the rest of the text!
