Spanish term

corporación de base personal

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Legal services
This is from a list of services provided by a law firm, so I don't have any more context, unfortunately.

Asociaciones Fundaciones Cooperativas, otras corporaciones de base personal.

Surely, all corporations are personal, as in they are made up of people??

Any bright ideas, please?

Many thanks.

non-incorporated entity

Trying to cast the net as wide as possible here

An incorporated business, or a corporation, is a separate entity from the business owner and has natural rights. ... Unincorporated businesses are usually sole proprietor or partnership companies. The main difference between an incorporated and unincorporated business is the way owners shoulder business activities.

non-company corporations

I agree that this is tricky, and the Spanish is confusing. After all, as you say, a company is made up of people, yet doesn't appear to be included in their definition. They appear to be talking about all corporations that aren't companies.

corporation aggregate

Rather than a 'personal body corporate' and would include neither ordinary and general partnerships, unincorporated associations nor clubs, but LLPs - limited liability partnerships - as a hybrid of a company and a partnership:

'A corporation aggregate refers to the group of people who make up a corporation. Corporations are legal entities that exist separately and independently from the individuals who constitute it. This is in contrast to a simple partnership or unincorporated club, which is not a separate legal entity from its members/ partners.'

In this case the opposite as a 'corporation sole' - such as a Bishop whose office is perpetual and is *not' made up of people - wouldn't fit the definition of 'una corporación de base real'.

Stuart and Aida have 'stolen my thunder' so I can't repeat their refs. and quotes.

The intersection of company-law corporations with private purpose trusts or charitable foundations in English Equity + Trusts calls for a low confidence level.
Example sentence:

Foundations are sometimes described as a hybrid of a trust and a co. A foundation resembles a company in that it is a body corporate (albeit without shareholders) with separate legal personality that owns its own property like a co.

A corporation aggregate refers to the group of people who make up a corporation.
