Italian term

miccia corta

Italian to English Other Food & Drink
What could mean "miccia corta" used as an ingredient of a cocktail? It could be a metaphor or a joke, but I really cannot seem to grasp, what it is supposed to convey!

It's Fantozzi! It's humour! Comedy! Anyone who's seen the films will understand that "short fuse" fits perfectly here.
hanna_sz (asker) Mar 6, 2021:
I know it is strange, but it's definitely an ingredient, listed among other ingredients :)

Short fuse A "short fuse" seems to be the name of a cocktail. See, for example, https://www.revolution-bars.co.uk/blog/cocktail-recipes-how-...

short fuse/blue touchpaper

I don't normally post identical answers to other people, but Patricia's explanation is incorrect.

If you watch the film, other ingredients of the cocktail include beriberi and nitroglycerin, and when you drink it, smoke comes out of your ears.

British people will understand "blue touchpaper", which is from the instructions for lighting fireworks.

The short fuse cocktail is probably so named to imply that it's so powerful it explodes in your hand.

And the link to the film is in the discussion box.
