Swedish to English Social Sciences Business/Commerce (general)

This term is used in a short text on competition in digital markets and refers to what is either some form of legislation or mechanism (unsure which) aiming to prevent large companies from simply buying up competitors, thereby gaining an overly dominant position in the market. If possible, I would prefer the US English version of this term, but I look forward to all suggestions!

ehnsio (asker) Feb 24, 2021: Thanks for your input, Chris! As I have just now been told that the text relates to the EU, merger control seems to be the best option even though the text is supposed to be written in US English. So submit your suggestion and you'll receive some well-earned points! :-)
