You don't need to say "coordinates" - it's redundant. And it's "at", not "in".

Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers show that the marking strip for the prime meridian at Greenwich is not exactly at zero degrees, zero minutes, and zero minutes.

You are at 90 degrees west. What is your time if it is 6AM at the prime meridian?

agree Muriel Vasconcellos : Yes, but your reference isn't pertinent to the context. This is simply about dividing up a geographic area for sampling purposes. See ref. below. They also do it when sampling for malaria.

neutral matt robinson : In this context, where the coordinates are given to indicate a specific location, I think I would use "at" as the preposition.

agree Cornelius Gillen : I agree with Matt, "at" is better here

at coordinates

If you do the translation in back, you obtein "en las coordenadas". When you make the same with "in coordinates", you obtein "en coordenadas". Is missed the article "las".

Mapping of sample collection data

Abstract
Scientists engaged in the research of natural products often either conduct field collections themselves or collaborate with partners who do, such as botanists, mycologists, or SCUBA divers. The information gleaned from such collecting trips (e.g. ***longitude/latitude coordinates***, geography, elevation, and a multitude of other field observations) have provided valuable data to the scientific community (e.g., biodiversity), even if it is tangential to the direct aims of the natural products research, which are often focused on drug discovery and/or chemical ecology. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have been used to display, manage, and analyze geographic data, including collection sites for natural products.
