Dutch term

grillig

Dutch to English Medical Medical (general) pathology
This is the structure of tissue in bladder cancer biopsies.

"ureter links met markering distaal: grillig, wat lastig te orientieren ureter segmentje"

Does this just mean the cells in the sample are irregularly shaped? Is this a specific pattern as seen on the Gleason Scale?

Many thanks!

irregular Thanks for your comments! I'm choosing "irregular". It comes up a few more times in different formulations.

I guess the whole thing means:

ureter links met markering distaal: grillig, wat lastig te orientieren ureter segmentje

ill-defined contour and position of small distal left ureter segment

Yes Smooth vs irregular = glad/regelmatig vs grillig/onregelmatig.
