It's not an actual saying
at least I've never heard of it. For the sentence to be grammatical, it should read "Eines Mannes *W*ert..."
Literally it means "A man's worth is not worthy of a man."

Since you asked for the meaning: What I wrote above is the only sense I can make of it. I searched the internet and a reference work I own on very rare sayings but it never showed. Ahhhh I got it! It means: The value/worth of a man is not worth a man\'s life!!! That\'s gotta be it. So a man/person shouldn\'t sacrifice his/her life to defend his/her honor/dignity.
Literally it means "A man's worth is not worthy of a man."
