French term
cône d’envole
French to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
Lifting / crane operations
Hi all,
Hope all's well!
I'm translating a construction site welcome pack from French (France) into English (United Kingdom) and am having trouble with a phrase.
The phrase in question appears in the overview section for the construction site and sets out the risks relating to building components. Please see below for full context:
"Levage : cône d’envole, interférence entre grues = mise en place obligatoire de plan de levage"
Does anyone know the technical term for this please?
Thanks in advance for your help! :)

Discussion
In this video, the person's hi viz jacket emits an alarm if he enters the 'cône de danger'. However, in the source text that Matthew provided, it appears that the 'cône d’envole' is the aerial danger area where cranes and lifting equipment might come into contact with each other rather than the 'cône' on the ground.
Although I guess this area is cone-shaped!
