Assuming it is indeed this, and bearing in mind that there does not seem to be a further explanation in the text itself, I'd flesh it out a bit to make it clear using "Employer"
"Top-up" is a good term in my opinion, (see references), especially as we don't know that the employer matches the employee contribution euro per euro

Has anyone among the US translators ever dealt with a 401k or TSP plan?
Many US employers, including the US government, provide matching contributions as an incentive for employees to save for their retirements.

The dictionary gives "top-up" or "matching contribution". I wonder if it means a free share issue - if we knew the company's name, we could confirm this.
