Spanish term

ex-vinculación

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)

This appears with no other context under the heading of Remuneration in annual accounts.
I can't even find a definition of ex-vinculación. Any ideas of what it is in English?

Lisa Rosengard Aug 17, 2020:
I believe the word 'antiguedad' is about the person's age, that way connected with the length of service. The note placed by the person who asked the question is "Se excluye el complemento salarial ex-vinculación del grupo profesional 6." ("The 'ex-continuing' salary supplement, is excluded from the professional group, number 6.")
In a different context, 'ex-vinculación' is about former connections.

I was going to post this in the reference box until I came across the previous question. You can always trust Charles Davis's answers!

5. COMPLEMENTO EX VINCULACION

As far as I can tell, "vinculación" and "antigüedad" are in practice the same thing. I think the technical difference is that "antigüedad" was a collective supplement and "vinculación" is individual, but both are based on length of service: how long you have been contractually linked to the employer (hence the name).

I think it would be better to use 'seniority' rather than 'length of service'.

'Ex' = by reason of.

“Artículo 25. Complemento de Antigüedad.

agree Adrian MM. : Certainly more congruous than 'ex-bondage', even off the Gran Via in Madrid.
