: Willsonn's reference to "qualified use" is a false friend here; it has nothing to do with the Spanish meaning. "Qualified" is a term of art in inheritance law so I tend to think it would be misleading to use it here.

: In Spain, the nomenclature is "clasificado" (urbano, rústico, etc.) vs "cualificado" (edificable, cultivable, etc.), so I'm thinking "class" > "clasificación"; "use" > "cualificación". Any thoughts?

Indeed, as per your Spain-related ref. I think the use you are refering to is the 'headline' so the main vs. associated use(r) in a general UK Town/ urbano vs. Country/ rústico Planning Class.

En Latinoamérica a veces se nos corrige que lo correcto es "cualificado". Eso es algo totalmente (bueno, parcialmente) errado, es como los casos de "cóctel"/"chófer"/"vídeo" (España) "coctel/chofer/video" (Latinoamérica).
