I'm looking for an English equivalent of "reklamieren" in the following sense. The sentence is taken from an expert report.
"Es wurden mechanische Beschädigungen reklamiert."
"Reklamation", "Reklamationssumme", "Reklamant", "Reklamationsgegenstand", "reklamierte Ware", et.c are also in the text. Der Reklamant and der Anspruchsteller are the same Person/Party.

: We're clearly dealing with the verb form here.It's not enough to merely translate the noun equivalent and claim that's all there is to it. This seems to be the most idiomatic way of getting the verb form across in the given context.
