Na ogół irlandzka whiskey ma lekki i gładki charakter, z nutami kwiatowymi, suszonych owoców, orzechów, cytrusów[3]. Zwykle destylowana jest trzykrotnie, w alembikach (kubełkowych aparatach destylacyjnych, ang. pot still) lub kolumnach destylacyjnych.

Większość destylarni nie korzystała jednak z nowej techniki, pozostając przy tradycyjnej Pot Still Whiskey.

A może to jest mieszanka zacierów zbożowych do destylowania whiskey w alembikach. Historic może się odnosić do tradycjonalnej mieszanki.

Powers is a historic pot-still-based Irish blended whiskey made at the Midleton distillery in County Cork by Irish Distillers.

Pot Still Irish whiskey is a uniquely Irish mix of malted and unmalted barley plus other grains. Since before dinosaurs ruled the earth until 2014, you could use what ever combination of grain you fancied when making this whiskey. Then suddenly, with the adoption of that Technical File in 2014, the brakes are applied and a minimum of 30% barley and a minimum of 30% unmalted barley was imposed, along with a maximum 5% limit on other grains.

Dziękuję za pomoc, mieszanka zacierów zbożowych brzmi dobrze do całego tekstu. Mam jeszcze pytanie, dalej w tekście mam takie zdanie "Over the next six months we’re going to distill each and every historic pot still mash bill we can get our hands on" - czy tutaj "pot still mash bill" będziemy rozumieć jako 'mieszankę zacierów zbożowych uzyskaną w kubełkowym aparacie destylacyjnym / alembiku", czy jeszcze w inny sposób? Jedyne, co udało mi się ustalić, to że "pot still whiskey" pozostaje "pot still whiskey" w polskich źródłach. Ten termin dręczy mnie cały tydzień :)
