gangoso

Spanish to English Science Mining & Minerals / Gems Geology
From a document related to mining magnetite minerals:

Resulta interesante observar que la ley de Fe aumenta con la oxidación, probablemente
como resultado del lixiviado de los minerales gangosos.

gangue

Adjectivally, as in "gangue minerals."

gangue
That portion of an ore deposit which is of no commercial value but which cannot be avoided during mining; it is removed during processing as waste. Common gangue minerals are quartz, calcite, and fluorite

In mining, gangue (/ɡæŋ/)[1] is the commercially worthless material that surrounds, or is closely mixed with, a wanted mineral in an ore deposit. It is thus distinct from overburden, which is the waste rock or materials overlying an ore or mineral body that are displaced during mining without being processed, and from tailings, which is rock already stripped of valuable minerals; a worthless rock containing valuable material.

"gangoso" is NOT correct here. Should be "de los materiales que forman la ganga" (for instance) instead.
Peer comment(s):

agree Isan Villalobos : That would be better due to "gangoso" is mainly related to the way some people speak.
