Japanese term

差をつくられる。

Non-PRO Japanese to English Other Games / Video Games / Gaming / Casino Overlord
コレデマタ、デミウルゴスニ差ヲツケラレタナ。(Pls excuse shouting!) Does this mean upset Demiurge? Discriminate against him? They are talking about a scroll made from skin obtained through Demiurge's work.

be outplayed

'Demiurge has outplayed us again' (I'm assuming from your explanation that they might be collaborating.)

I thought it was the passive tense (つけられた as opposed to つけた) but you're right, it can also be used to mean 'able to'.
Note from asker:
The idea sounds good, but shouldn't it be the other way round? As in: you were able/managed to outplay Deiurge.
