Seguendo il percorso di figure cui ci conduce l’Autrice, il viso viene sovente ridotto per frammenti, facilmente (fatalmente?) riconducibile al suo viso.

I don;t know what is meant here, is this regarding the artists face ("l'autrice") or the face of the character? I also don't actually get the rest of this phrase anyway.

What the writer is saying is that in the various exhibition pieces, the face is often depicted as just a series of fragments, not the faces in their entirety. But despite this fragmentary style, her own face is still very recognisable is her artworks, as if they were self-portraits.
