reduce compliance

"Direct Drive Linear
Maximum speed and acceleration for linear motion.
Choose from four designs to reduce compliance, replace mechanical linkages and create a better fit for your application."
This is not your average compliance. After some research I'm finding that in Physics it's defined as: the property of a material of undergoing elastic deformation or (of a gas) change in volume when subjected to an applied force. It is equal to the reciprocal of stiffness.
As far as I can tell, based on the context, I believe this is the compliance I'm looking for.
Here's some more info from another source: a servo configuration where both motor and load feedback are used simultaneously. The need for dual loop is created because the mechanical compliance between motor and load can severely limit the servo performance when only a load-side position sensor is used.
Based on this and some of the results I've seen I'm considering translating this as "reducir la flexibilidad". But the two words sound anathema to me. Compliance and flexibility sounds like polar opposites, and that's why I'm hesitating on using this term.
