neutral D. I. Verrelli : "strip conductors" seems to be not so idiomatic. EDIT: I don't have enough context to confidently evaluate 'concrete' terms like "deposition" (more common)/"build-up" (less common) vs broader terms like "create". Would be good to have more source text.

neutral D. I. Verrelli : I think "conductive paths" [or "conductive tracks" or possibly "conductive traces"] is the more idiomatic option. EDIT: Yes, "Aufbau" was the focus, but I find that hard to evaluate with the available context.

At least in quantum atomic chemistry the Aufbau Prinzip refers to the fact that electronic structure is built-up starting from the lowest to the highest energy level available. In that context, it has been translated as "building up"... In this context, deposition, as suggested by Lancashireman, might be better.

neutral D. I. Verrelli : Maybe you are right about "design" being (potentially) included, but your answer excludes "construction". If you wish to allow for both, then I would suggest something like "creation", as one can *create* both a design and an object.
