Thanks Charles. Yes. It is a very sad case
Charles Davis Jun 17, 2019:
@Joanna "SHAS" occurs six times in this lengthy document on SAHS, which has a Catalan URL but is actually in Spanish. It's clearly a typo every time. This proves nothing of course, except that the typo can occur.

This patient is in a bad way!

Hi Everyone,
I unfortunately don't have much more. This is the list of multiple issues:
Line 1: Diabetes, High blood pressure, dyslipidemia
Line 2: COPD (thanks Phil!)/SHAS/Fibrose pulmonaire
Line 3: Chronic Kidney Disease
Line 4: Anemia: NN

I am on page 14 and this is the first time I have encountered this accronym. Usually it's only COPD/pulmonary fibrosis

Charles Davis, I think you are right. I think they might have written it wrong....

When I tried to search the internet I found "SHAS" in Catalan???
philgoddard Jun 17, 2019:
Could be MPOC is COPD.
Charles Davis Jun 17, 2019:
=SAHS? I wonder if it might be syndrome d’apnée/hypopnée du sommeil (sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome), with apnée and hypopnée the wrong way round? It's in the right general area:

It's too much of a guess for me to feel like posting it. But if anyone thinks it's right, or could be, they're welcome to use the idea.

I think we need some more context.
