Dear PROZ Community,
Could you please help me to translate "ambulancia colectiva" into English?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Mercedes.

Patient transport ambulance
This refers to a non-emergency ambulance, like a minibus, not equipped to give medical treatment en route and used to carry several patients between non-urgent healthcare facilities and home.
"Las ambulancias colectivas se encuadran dentro de las ambulancias no asistenciales o también llamadas ambulancias convencionales. "Patient transport ambulance – A vehicle, which has the job of transporting patients to, from or between places of medical treatment, such as hospital or dialysiscenter, for non-urgent care. These can be vans, buses or other vehicles."

You don't need to put "collective". A patient transport ambulance is always collective (otherwise it would be effectively a taxi).

Collective ambulance
In my area of Spain, they seem to be simply called collective ambulances:

Collective Ambulance. Collective ambulances is a type of ambulance that fits within non-medical ambulances or also called conventional ambulances.

Another option could be "community ambulance":

I don't recall now where I found the references for "collective ambulance", but there are also plenty for "community ambulance" - understood as performing the function described by Charles below in his answer.

: Hi Neil. "Collective ambulance" seems to be a translation of "ambulancia colectiva"; the Google results are not numerous and all seem to come from Spain.

Well, other references I didn't bother posting were from English language newspapers.

non-emergency ambulance/ambulette
I must admit I've never heard of an ambulette, but that's just my ignorance, as it gets 900,000 hits! So it's a valid answer, though "non-emergency ambulance" would be my first choice..
"However, it varies by jurisdiction as to whether a non-emergency patient transport vehicle (also called an ambulette) is counted as an ambulance. These vehicles are not usually (although there are exceptions) equipped with life-support equipment, and are usually crewed by staff with fewer qualifications than the crew of emergency ambulances."

: Ambulette is OK for US but not for UK (which is presumably why we've never heard of it). "Non-emergency ambulance" normally applies to a service rather than a vehicle.
