Sin embargo me parece más natural que spine aluda a la columna y que el paciente intente expresar la idea de edema vertebral (líquido alrededor de las vértebras -de la columna). La traducción literal de la expresión original (líquido alrededor de la columna vertebral) es sin duda la opción más segura. Y sin embargo es tan frustrantemente ambigua que -si resulta posible por contexto- se intente acotar su sentido en la traducción (de ahí mi propuesta de "líquido vertebral"). A juzgar por el contexto proporcionado en preguntas previas de esta misma carta-informe del propio paciente, diría que vertebral edema (vs. bone marrow edema) es lo que el paciente está intentando expresar.
