I agree with Tony M. I've encountered these kinds of abbreviations in patents myself and I'd leave them as is. When you translate the main text, they will be explained.

@ Asker It all depends where and how it is being used; these appear to be ad hoc abbreviations within your text, and as such, probably wouldn't have any kind of 'standard' translation, in which case, creating a non-standard translation might not be terribly helpful to the reaer! Then again, within your patent, it seems like these might just be cross-references to e.g. a figure — in which case, there is little point seeking to "translate" them, unless you are able to make sure that the legends on the figure are also going to get translated to match!
In this particualr instance, the EN would in any case be identical! You really just need to work out from your own technical knowledge what they stand for, and then see if they need translating anyway?
