Teraz tak sobie myślę, że może jest literówka w tekście i faktycznie chodzi o gałęzie przekątne, bo przecież to "przetkane" naprawdę nie ma sensu. Dziękuję za sugestię - chyba bym na to nie wpadła.

Lewa tętnica wieńcowa (arteria coronaria sinistra) odchodzi w lewej zatoce aorty w postaci krótkiego pnia (ok. 1 cm), który następnie dzieli się na gałąź międzykomorową przednią - przednią zstępującą (LAD - left anterior decsending) i gałąź okalającą (Cx - circumflexus). Od LAD odchodzą drobniejsze odgałęzienia, takie jak gałąź skośna lewej tętnicy wieńcowej zstępującej (D), tętnice przegrodowe (S). Od pnia gałęzi okalającej (Cx) odchodzą tętnica okalająca przedsionka lewa (LAC) i gałęzie brzeżne.

The LAD gives rise to septal branches and diagonal branches. The septal branches of the left anterior descending supply the septum, which is the wall between the left and right main pumping chambers of the heart. The diagonal branches of the LAD supply the front to sidewall of the heart. Basically the LAD covers a large area! Over 99% of people have at least one diagonal branch of the left anterior descending artery. In about 80% of people, the LAD wraps around the bottom of the heart and supplies the area beyond that.
