German term
Sicherheitsdispositiv
German to English
Law/Patents
Law: Contract(s)
Swiss German
This standard legal document keeps making reference to a "Sicherheitsdispositiv." Apparently, it is some annex to the contract. I can't seem to find it in any dictionary. This document is a Swiss document and I wondered if it was a "Swiss Germanism." I was wondering if anyone knew off the top of their "Kopf" what this meant.
Danke.
Danke.

security measures
"Sicherheitsdispositiv" wird in der Schweiz hauptsächlich im Zusammenhang mit Grossanlässen gebraucht (Polizisten, Fahrzeuge, Kameras, etc.). Es kann sich aber auch auf den Schutz von Gebäuden beziehen (Alarmanlagen, Nachtwächter, etc. z.B. in einer Bank).

Leave it as ambiguous as the orig. as a transliteration of 'dispositif de securite' > enacting or operative terms of a judgment of the main doc. or a safety device.

(credit) security option/guarantee
Generally, Dispositiv refers to something disposed of optionally (cf. Dietl/Lorenz); in the context of a contract I would assume it to mean a security option for insuring that the contract terms are performed (i.e. bank guarantee, letter of credit etc.); what exactly it is here is probably explicated in the annex.
