Discussion

Annamaria Amik Oct 23, 2017:
Of course, redactor in English is out of the question, I never even heard it in English :) I just wanted to clarify that editor was not the equivalent of the Romanian word redactor.
Lara Barnett (asker) Oct 23, 2017:
@ Annamaria I see. The problem is that UK does not sue the term "Redactor" in terms of publishing and writing. In this instance it may not be so important, but useful to know. Thank you.
Annamaria Amik Oct 23, 2017:
Redactor/Editor Lara, it is not the editor. Redactor is the first author of the article, I think it's called writer in English, or reporter (probably the person who actually took the interview, in this case). The writer develops and researches the text, the editor revises it and provides guidance, if necessary. But I think it doesn't actually matter, the final publication clearly has to go through the editor, so you can say editor's note.

Yes, that's the idea - someone who puts text into appropriate form for publication - in this case it's probably the person who took the interview. Not sure if redactor and editor are the same, you know better ;)

Note from asker:
Thank you. That makes sense. But we say Editor's Note. We don't use Redactor. Is this what you mean?
