@Nicholas Yes you are right. Most of my work is in banking so I tend to have tunnel vision when it comes to bonds, they are debt securities ;-).
Nicholas Simms Dec 12, 2017:
Bonds and releases I would agree with the answer. I would add that 'bond' is often used for 'customs control ' ( as in 'bonded warehouse'. 'Bond' is also often used for 'security' in the sense of a bank guarantee that is released when a given action is performed , a 'performance bond'
James (Jim) Davis Dec 12, 2017:
@Nicholas A bond or obligation is an "obligazione", This is more about tying goods up to secure them and untying them to release them
Nicholas Simms Oct 18, 2017:
'Junctions' sounds like the road traffic meanings of 'svincole' in the Linguee source quoted. In the context of being the opposite of an obligation or bond, I would be inclined to prefer the 'releases' meaning, which also features among the translations given at that link.

Genuinely curious or just moderating? Nothing in the glossary, some entries but in different language pairs, anything I've found online so far looks like machine translation. So, here I am, asking a question on Proz. Is there a problem?

Italian term (edited): consentire vincoli e svincoli

allow goods to be held or released

This is part of a long long list of powers "delega" granted to company officers and in the context (example below) this is about holding and releasing goods.
If power of attorney is your translation of delega or procura and the powers are to a CEO or other company officer then this is a delegation of powers or simply granting/conferring powers, a very common mistranslation.

c) compiere qualsiasi atto ed operazione presso gli uffici ferroviari, doganali, postelegrafonici ed in genere presso ogni ufficio pubblico o privato di trasporto, con facoltà di rilasciare debite quietanze di liberazione, dichiarazioni di scarico e consentire vincoli e svincoli;

I mean "power of attorney" is a very common mistranslation. If the power is conferred on somebody outside the company, somebody like a lawyer, then power of attorney would be appropriate.
