English term

to solicit a prostitute

English to Hungarian Other Business/Commerce (general)
For work I am researching someone's background, and this is among my findings. fortunately I have no experience in this area, thus do not know how to say it in Hungarian. :)
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Ildiko Santana

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Katalin Szilárd Sep 15, 2017:
Defining the topic is pretty interesting :) It is a business indeed, but since it's illegal law would be more appropriate.
Erzsébet Czopyk Sep 15, 2017:
Business/Commerce (general) ?

felcsípni/leszólítani egy prostituáltat

http://www.lacriminaldefenseattorney.com/Blog/2016/September...

Mary is an undercover police officer involved in a sting operation posing as a street walker in downtown Los Angeles. Tom, a tourist from Utah, approaches Mary and engages her in a conversation. During the conversation, Tom offers Mary $300 to accompany him to his hotel room to have sex. He shows her the money and they both walk to his hotel. Tom will likely be arrested for soliciting prostitution because his words and his behavior demonstrate an intent to have sex with Mary in exchange for money.

szexuális szolgáltatás igénybevétele

Nekem ez erősen jogi kifejezésnek tűnik, lásd:

https://www.google.hu/search?q=solicit prostitution&spell=1&...

Pl. két konkrét példa:

oitering for the purpose of prostitution charged under PC 653.22(a) is charged where the district believes he or she can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant had the intent to solicit a prostitute because of his or her behavior such as driving around street prostitutes and loitering in the area of prostitution activities.
(California Penal Codes 647(b), 653.22(a), & 315)
http://www.sexcrimesattorney909.com/prostitution-Criminal-De...

This is the law for which the man is being charged:
Loitering to solicit prostitution.

Vagy szexuális szolgáltatás igénybevételére vonatkozó ajánlattétel a következő alapján:

a) a szexuális szolgáltatása igénybevételére felhívott személy tizennegyedik életévét betöltött kiskorú, vagy kiskorúnak az ilyen szolgáltatás nyújtására irányuló ajánlattételét fogadja el;

Peer comment(s):

neutral Katalin Szilárd : Nem kell, hogy ténylegesen igénybe is vegye:"Solicitation of prostitution does not require a completed act of sexual conduct." / Akkor inkább: "szexuális szolgáltatás igénybevételre irányuló ajánlattétel"

Jogos, jobba a meglévő jogi kifejezésekből képzett "rábírási kísérlet" vagy "igénybevételre vonatkozó ajánlattétel"
agree Gabriella Vento : Egyetértek, Katalin kiegészítésével együtt: a "szexuális szolgáltatás igénybevételre irányuló ajánlattétel" fedi legpontosabban az angol kifejezést, és stílusa is megfelel annak.

agree Katalin Horváth McClure : Jogi szövegben a legutolsó variáció megfelelő. (Az üzletszerű kéjelgésre rábírás az megint más.)
