I am unsure what this abbreviation means. It has stated that patient is institutionalised and then has this abbreviation.
The sentence reads "Paciente de 83 años de edad, institutionalizado [redacted], DABVD (en silla de ruedas)."
Hope you can help
Thanks in advance

Dependent in Basic Activities of Daily Living
I can only find one example of this exact acronym, referring to hip fracture in the elderly:
"50% con Fx – terminan DAVBD"
https://www.slideshare.net/juanluisdelgadoestve/modificado-o...
It's not in Siglos Médicos en Español on the Cosnautas site, but the very similar initialism DABVD is, and it has a number of very similar variants:
"DABVD
http://www.cosnautas.com/es/siglas/8372-link?from_entry=1&ab...
So I think this must mean Dependiente para Actividades de la Vida Básica Diaria.
Anyway, "Activities of Daily Living" (ADL) is standard in English, and there's also "Dependent in Activities of Daily Living", so I think we can call this "Dependent in Basic Activities of Daily Living":
"Dependent in one or more activities of daily living 2. ... CGA component Functional status Means of assessment Basic activities of daily living (dressing, eating,"

I see that the same interpretation of the Spanish initialism has been posted in the discussion area while I was preparing an answer.

Not Siglos Médicos: Siglas Médicas! Sorry.

Actually, rather than being a deliberate variant it's probably just a mistake and should read DABVD, with the B and the V reversed.
