Missing words Creo que si el o la paciente se está recuperando, lo más probable es que lo/la envíen "a su domicilio". Creo que es lo que he visto en muchos de los informes médicos que he traducido.

Para mí tampoco "con destino" significa "buen pronóstico", más bien parece que se trata de que tiene un lugar asignado en alguna institución u hogar.

¿con destino a dónde? Creo que al original le falta una palabra después de destino, por ej. a su domicilio (como lo sugiere Helena). Normalmente "con destino" no significa ni decisivo ni con buena prognosis - por lo menos no en español de Colombia. ¿Qué opinan mis colegas en España?

Thank you, Rachel :-) Although I'm not 100% sure my suggestion is right, I very much doubt that 'destino' has anything to do with the level of recovery.

The Spanish seems to me to imply that full recovery is not just hoped for, but expected. This is the best way I can think of to express that in English.
(My wife is an R.N.; something she said sparked this idea.)

I 'm afraid I can't find 'EN destino' in either the question or my references. All the same, thank you for your opinion, Stephen.
agree Giovanni Rengifo : En realidad, estoy totalmente de acuerdo contigo. Creo que en el original se comieron una palabra o algo, pero por lo menos en mi español "con destino" solo no significa "ni decisivo" ni "with a good prognosis". ¿Tú que opinas?

Creo que significa 'con destino al domicilio' pero la persona que completó el informe da por sabido que 'con destino' significa que el/la paciente se fue a su lugar habitual de residencia. Gracias, Giovanni :-)
