Hi all,
I'm translating a 'Certificado de existencia y representacion legal' from a Chamber of Commerce in Colombia in British EN (for the UK authorities).
The business of the company on which name the certificate is issued, is tourism services of different types, including the following:
***Expendio a la mesa de comidas preparadas***
Would it be correct to translate it with "Retail of prepared foods for on-premise consumption", which is what basically I think 'a la mesa' refers to, or does anyone know a more appropriate and equivalent expression in English?

: While the exact wording could likely vary a little, you have the right idea. It's a glorified way of saying a restaurant or something along the lines of a cafeteria. Good references. The BBC is an easy reference point for anyone living in Colombia.

Thanks, Kathryn, you're probably right, but the question simply mentions "Expendio a la mesa de comidas preparadas", which is basically catering to my mind.
