Discussion

Tony M Apr 17, 2017:
@ Asker As Geraldine quite rightly points out, this is not ALL 'déplacements' (i.e. general work-related travel), but specifically the regular (usually daily) journeys to and from one's place of work.

As such, your proposed translation would be a misleading over-simplification of the specific case here.
NikkoTh (asker) Apr 17, 2017:

Commuting is the activity of travelling some distance to work every day by car, bus, or train. (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/commuting)

commuter = banlieusard
navette are free
Note from asker:
Merci encore.

disagree Tony M : As it's under 'financial', it clearly isn't anything as basic as providing a shuttle bus. More likely to be something like, say, a rail pass, in which case this would be hopelessly wrong.

"Commuter Benefits: A benefit that can, and in some circumstances, must, be offered by employers for their employees' work commute. Employers may cover, or allow employees to set aside pre-tax funds, up to the annual IRS-maximum for their commuting expenses. With Zenefits, funds are loaded onto a debit card for use. "

neutral Françoise LE MEUR : ok this can be something larger than transport but your formulation does not sound French

neutral Tony M : participation? But as Geraldine rightly points out, 'commuting' is different from simply 'work-related travel', and it is important that distinction is retained.
