Norwegian term

b-crp-kv

Norwegian to English Medical Medical (general)
I assume crp means c-reactive protein, but the measured result (given without a unit of measurement) was 63, which would be off the charts for a crp test (if measured in mg/l.)

What does kv mean here?

Thanks.

Michael Marcoux (asker) Mar 30, 2017:
I misspoke The labwork I deal with usually indicates if values are outside the reference range, which I understand to be 0-10mg/dL. Since there was no indication the value was high I assumed 63 must be a normal "healthy" value. But it turns out they inconsistently provide reference ranges throughout the document, so that more than likely explains that.

Yes, that sounds sensible, Chris.
Christopher Schröder Mar 28, 2017:
Quantitative I imagine kv is short for kvantitativ
Leif Henriksen Mar 28, 2017:
b-crp probably means measured in blood, as opposed to s-crp, measured in serum.
Leif Henriksen Mar 28, 2017:
I cannot offer you a qualified answer to KV, but a guess could be "kapillarverdi", if it was measured with a capillary technique. B may simply mean blood. I do not understand why you consider 63 to be out of bounds, it would be a very probable value given a bacterial infection or an inflammation.
