blender attachment
The glass with blades comes on top of a kitchen machine motor. It appears this is an extra part for the machine. Usually these parts have their own motor or are sold as whole with a motor.

: Or blender blade attachment? Aha, OK

It's the whole bottom part, with blades and glass and lid. The only thing missing is the motor.

: You've made a covincing case. Still think the German is not as precise as it may seem, but you definitely know about this kind of thing and Amazon is full of them./ Is that PC nowadays :)?

: Your answer was most helpful. Here, I think it's about the "jar base" only (see d-box) or just "blade(s)." But that's hard to know without pictures.//Didn't like the alternative offered there (extension). But yours and Ramey's are both fine, IMO.

Thanks, Björn. The current leader (6 hrs) seems to have borrowed 'blender' from the answer supplied at 26 mins and 'attachment' from the one at 28 mins.

: in this context, jar suggests to me the receptacle/vessel/container into which the ingredients to be mixed are put - an attachment could even be a flex

it could also be an "extension", since it has a stainless steel flat blade

: Cf. discussion (German link). Disproves the theory, though, that this is about the entire upper part, i.e., it's only about jar base + blades. I think this distinction is important. / You're right, ofc :) There was just some confusion about what's meant.

Thanks as ever for your valuable input. In the asker’s case (essentially a bullet point in the product spec), attachment is probably sufficient for Aufsatz, with the necessary clarification being provided by mit Edelstahl-Flachklinge (zum Zerkleinern).

Discussion
But in any case and not to confuse Yaotl, I will add you definitely can't say "jar base" here - only when you describe individual components or replacement parts.
And with a Smoothie blender, I can't see "attachment" anywhere in the description:
https://www.amazon.com/Sharkk-Basics-Smoothie-Stainless-Auto...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00XHXNEYG
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002RBXHSC
Here is a Buckeye State manufacturer:
https://www.amazon.com/Blendtec-D625A2826A1A-AMAZON-Designer...
They call the second blender attachment "jar" only. Or jar + blades:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Blendtec-Total-Blender-with-WildS...
And they are merely talking about "blades" in the description by this MADE IN USA company:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01688AFFC?psc=1
Seems a bit confusing to me - in both languages.
http://www.pearl.de/a-NC3757-3002.shtml;jsessionid=kA03F2D8A...
What you'd call the "Klingenaufsatz":
https://www.lidl.de/de/silvercrest-smoothie-mixer-ssmp-900-a...
This is why I disagree with what you wrote in reply to Wendy:
"It's the whole bottom part, with blades and glass and lid."
Same here:
http://www.smoothie-mixer.de/nutribullet-test-erfahrungen
It's not the whole part. It's only the black thing ( https://www.amazon.de/Unten-Dichtung-Ersatzteil-Oster-Mixer/... ) with the blades.
http://etm-testmagazin.de/tests/mr-magic-462
https://www.leaf.tv/articles/what-are-the-parts-of-a-blender...
I also found the sentence you seem to be referring to:
https://www.lidl.de/de/silvercrest-smoothie-mixer-ssmp-900-a...
Take a look at pictures 2 and 3 there. You'll see that it shows the same object as on the first web page I posted (below the heading "Einfache Handhabung").
Unfortunately, Germans seem to prefer somewhat imprecise descriptions when it comes to blenders, as other Google results point to the entire jar:
http://www.pearl.de/a-NC3757-3002.shtml;jsessionid=kA03F2D8A...
Thus, Lancashireman is correct. However, in your example, it seems to be the "jar base" only (incl. blades), not the entire jar.
