German term

RefaZ

German to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Bank statement
Dear All,

I am trying to find the above term which is followed by a 11-digit number.
I am translating a bank statement and on that statement this is mentioned. The term is related to pension / retirement payment.

Appreciate all your help very much.

Suppose so... quite often you just have to be a bit creative with the key words.
In this case, with the Web search, when RefaZ only gave me loads of crap in Portuguese, I just thought adding a few general German banking terms might work.
Seemed to help.
It's amazing what even nowadays, when Google only favours (=lists) paying customers or sites they like themselves (mostly the same), you can still pump out of search engines with a bit of imagination.
Good luck with finding the appropriate banking term in English...

Dear beermatt,
Yes, that must be it.
Thank you so much for your kind cooperation.
Have a great day.

...no guarantee... but when combining "RefaZ" with "Konto", I stumbled upon the following web site, where you will find the acronym on the last page, as "Referenzfall-Zeichen".

Hope that's helpful.
If it doesn't fit, I can't really suggest anything else.
No idea what the appropriate technical term might be in English.
