顔面がボーとする

Japanese to English Science Medical (general)
This is in a list of adverse drug reactions (from 1970s). I can only find definitions of 顔がボーとする, which seems to be psychological and subjective. Perhaps this means blank/expressionless face?

顔面(がんめん)=顔(かお)= face or facial expression

ボーとする=ぼうっとする=ボーッとする=茫とする = blank, empty, vague, dazed, stupified

(a person/patient shows) absent minded facial expression

顔面がボーとする = 顔がボーとする This is a symptom.
