que peut signifier "Let the setup temper " dans un manuel technique de configuration d'un pupitre de commande:

Place the ***** in any starting position and hang the cable in the mount at the monitor. Let the setup temper and press ‘Zero’ afterwards.

This use of 'temper' is unfamiliar to me — though maybe it relates to the specific industry this equipment is used in? My guess would be eithere to let it "settle down", or possible for things to arrive at their working temperature.
