This is part of an IFU for an angioplapsty balloon catheter. The Indication parag. reads:
"INDICATIONS
The xxx Drug Coated Balloon Catheter is indicated for percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) in patients with obstructive disease of peripheral arteries.
The "flush needle" is part of the equipment for operating the catheter:
"o Guidewire of appropriate size for advancement of sheath/guiding sheath
o Appropriate introducer sheath or guiding sheath
o Inflation device (20mL or 30mL is recommended)
o Flush needle
o Pre-dilatation PTA Catheter
o Guidewire of appropriate length relative to the procedure requirements
o Hemostatic valve"
Later we find: "Flush the wire lumen from the distal tip using flush needle"
I don't think that "aiguille de rinçage" is the appropriate translation, because what it does is pouring liquid to facilitate advancement in the vessel (I am not sure of this).

Comment: "Merci. Je trouve malgré tout que "flush" n'ayant pas le sens de "rincer" (rinse) ici, la traduction, bien qu'usitée, n'est pas satisfaisante. Je l'utilise, faute de mieux."
