Non-PRO French to English Law/Patents Law (general) Deed of service
Hi there,

I'm translating an Acte d'huissier de justice (deed of service) which describes the different delivery options of a judicial act, and I'm stuck in the following sentence:

"Celui-ci (referring to the document) a été remis par clerc assermenté, dont les mentions sont visées par nous sur l'original et l'expédition, et selon les déclarations qui lui ont été faites".

My attempt covers the first part of it:
"The above-mentioned act has been delivered by a sworn clerk, whose details [...]".

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Yes I agree with "whose details"
Chakib Roula Sep 29, 2016:
@Asker,
"Whose details" seems to be correct.
AllegroTrans Sep 29, 2016:
Asker I would not use "deed of service" - your document is not a deed but simply a record or certificate of service (not delivery) signed by a French bailiff. It's important to use correct legal terms (as used in England & Wales if that is your target readership) here. "Act" for a document is also incorrect.
