Romanian term

devierea globilor oculari,

Romanian to English Medical Psychology Child Autism hospital discharge notes
"La varsta de 5 ani,in context febril, prezinta hipotonie musculara si devierea globilor oculari, cu pierderea constientei, si se reia tratamentul... " etc

I am not sure whether this is suggesting the child was simply "deviating his gaze", or that his eye movements were deviating from normal eye movements and were moving abnormally.

I'd go for "eye deviation"

misalignment, divergence?
Note from asker:
Yes, I think it is more than likely the eyeballs, it is just finding a term that is commonly used here. i can't find anything commonly used on web, probably because I am not using the relevant key words, but I know there must be something other than the literal translation, which does not seem to be the medical term to use here.
