Cardiac Arrest Treatment
From a report about a patient admitted to intensive care with cardiac arrest. I can't make any sense whatsoever out of "éveil adapté". Well, I know "éveil" is awakening or something along those lines, so it's really "adapté" I can't figure out. The whole usage of "adapter" in this text (and ESPECIALLY "désadaptation" - please see my separate query for that) has me quite utterly defeated. It's not used in an orthodox way at all, but has some specific meaning or meanings (to do with ventilation, I think) well beyond my grasp. TIA for any light you can shed on this extremely confusing expression.

Comment: "This worked very well. Thanks for posting it as an answer - I would probably have had to close this without grading otherwise. And it can be easily entered into the KOG too! But thanks anyway to the others who offered an idea - appreciate everyone's help."
