Italian term

Fase digito-digitale

Grazie mille

inferior pincer phase

You're talking about types of grasp (la prensione degli oggetti)
I'd use the words in parentheses, if that is indeed the equivalent.

This is an index finger to thumb grasp (thus digito-digitale) You can find a number of illustrations by googling "inferior pincer"
Note from asker:
I agree with you but, since there's a translation for "fase radio-digitale" (radial-digital phase), I was wondering if there was a translation for "fase digito-digitale" too (in fact, my translation for that sentence is: radial-digital phase (superior pincer grasp). Anyway, if there's no equivalent in English, I'll omit that "radial-digital phase" and simply write "superior pincer grasp". Thanks a lot :)
