Edelmanufaktur suggests "klein aber fein", precision, high-quality and yes, high-end, even luxury. Often used as a description for Switzerland and its products and services, especially in the watch sector. Does not necessarily imply handcrafted, but has come to be associated with that, but does mean small batches. The opposite of mass-production, which given today's technology is often also high-end and high quality. Btw, in the UK the term manufactory is or was used.

And the article is about how they are using compressors made by the company who has written the article (they're writing about all these different customers and why they use their compressors). So ABC is this "Edelmanufaktur" and also the candy store (Confiserie).

Zumindest soll der Begriff das implizieren - keine (Fabrik-)Massenware, sondern kleine Mengen und eine mehr handwerklich ausgerichtete Produktion mit traditionellen Verfahren.
Auf Englisch ist das vielleicht am ehesten mit "artisan / artisanal", "craft" o. ä. wiederzugeben.

high-end products - Still when applied to the specific context, it sounds like they have gone low-end. that's why I went with classic, as it maintains a neutral evaluation of the 'edle' products.

High-end is good and I think would work well here. It's certainly better than anything the dictionaries suggest for "edel" in this instance. Although one dictionary suggestion is "premium", which might be OK too. Manufaktur tends most commonly to mean factory, but I suppose more loosely it could mean manufacturer.

Yes, hand-made confisserie, delicious and expensive. I also though along the lines of 'elite/noble/superior' etc. but in the context this would mean they have surrendered their noblesse to industrial machinery.
