@ François The way I interpret it, the 'as appropriate' is placed at the end (in my view, it ought to be preceded by a comma) because it would be awkward to find a place to fit it in within the rather long preceding phrase, and the writer quite probably wanted it to apply globally to the whole phrase, rather than specifically to one aspect of it, as would have been the case had it been inserted within the list. Rather like the way the position of 'only' in a complex sentence can be tricky at times!

I think the meaning (in my interpretation) would have been clearer if we made it 'as applicable' (which would to all intents and purposes be a synonym here anyway); or as I said below, use 'relevant'.

Whatever, parsing it as 'business as appropriate' makes no real sense in EN, without some further qualification, which is absent.

My reading would be more like this:

"...and complying as appropriate with transparency and disclosure laws, regulations and codes everywhere it does business."

I think it really probably means 'complying with the relevant [laws etc.]'

BUT... I am not an expert in this field!
