I do not understand the word "event" in this context.

The trial site may be planted with a conventional variety of the same plant species as the regulated ***GE event***.
During the term of post-harvest land use restriction, the trial site should not be planted with the same or related species to the regulated ***GE event***
These restrictive, postharvest measures are designed to ensure that any volunteers emerging after trial harvest are eliminated from the trial site to prevent the establishment of the regulated ***GE plant event*** in the environment and to ensure that no regulated plant material is allowed to enter the human food or animal feed chains.
