Elektrische Spurstabilisierung

German to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering Electric Wheelchairs
This term appears in a list of optional parts for an electric wheelchair as simply "Elektrische Spurstabilisierung (optional). I haven't got the faintest idea what "Spurstabilisierung" means, other than that it's obviously stabilisation of some sort. But the "Spur" part of the word could mean about ten different things, and while I can probably knock out one or two, I have no idea whatsoever which meaning applies to electric wheelchairs. Of course, no dictionary has ever heard of "Spurstabilisierung", and Google is completely useless on this occasion as well. TIA for any light you can shed on this highly obscure word.

This website provides a German and an English description of a particular wheelchair, one of the features of which is 'Spurstabilisierung', translated in this case as 'track stabiliization':

Thanks for the feedback. I realise that's what the German says but to be honest I would think something as complex as stabilization would rely on electronic and not electrical circuits, though I'm not an expert in the field, hence the confidence rating.

Electric traction control

Just an attempt from my own experience: I used to have an electric chair, and the wheels often run on rubber tracks. Never heard of this option but the new control systems are probably now able to keep the tracks running in one direction to stop them skidding (which happened fairly often!).
